Atlanta Symphony Hall has been invaded by ghosts! Who can we call for help?! This year, the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra needs your help in putting the Phantoms of the Orchestra to rest.  As the Atlanta Symphony Hall is now haunted, we invite you to join the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra’s Assistant Conductor, Joseph Young, on a Halloween adventure with the Magic Circle Mime Company as they lead the ghoulish orchestra in a concert just for families.  The Orchestra will perform music from Dukas’ Sorcerer’s Apprentice and Bach’s Toccata and Fugue in D Minor among many other selections. Also, this year, our costume contest continues!

We encourage every member of the family to participate. We had some family-themed costumes last year, which entertained us all. Come enjoy an afternoon together filled with mostly treats, but Maestro Young does have a few tricks up his sleeve.  There will be activities for the whole family, including the return of the popular Instrument Petting Zoo, Halloween-themed Art Making, and a Halloween Photo Booth designed to light up those jack-o-lantern smiles. Boys and ghouls of all ages are invited to come enjoy this hour-long concert to celebrate this Halloween season. For more information or to buy tickets, please click here.

Last year, Halloween Hijinx ensued when families attended this kid-friendly concert to help Assistant Conductor Joseph Young pick out his Halloween costume.  Along the way, kids enjoyed an instrument petting zoo, costume contest and wonderful music provided by the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, who dressed up in costumes too!
