The National Endowment for the Arts just published a literature review and gap-analysis on how arts education can contribute to early learner’s (birth – 8 years old) social-emotional development. The report presents evidence that young children’s participation in music-based activities, drama & theater, and the visual arts & crafts are strongly linked to the development of interpersonal skills like empathy, helping, and sharing.
